An autopsy performed on the body of Chane A. Combs, 38, showed no signs of foul play.. He said his detectives plan to interview several people as they await toxicology test results. • 3 people drown at Point Mugu: Three men enjoying the ocean view at Point Mugu were swept to their deaths Thursday afternoon by a wave that pulled them into the water along with two companions who were able to scramble to safety.. The victims -- ages 17, 19 and 21 -- were standing at the water's edge on the landmark Mugu Rock taking photographs of the ocean about 1:50 p.m. when a wave knocked them into the surf.. Kathryn Barrona said she took off her shoes and jumped into the chilly water when she saw one of the men floating face down. She managed to swim out and haul him back against the current and crashing waves, but he was already dead. "It was really bad," said Barrona, 24, who had been sitting with her sister on the rocks before she realized the men were in trouble. "I couldn't tell you how cold the water was. I didn't realize how bad the current was."

• 9-year-old girl drowns in Naperville pond: A 9-year-old girl playing on a pond in the White Eagle subdivision in Naperville drowned Thursday after she fell through the ice. The girl was identified as Maheen Ahmad, of the 2600 block of Saddlebrook Drive. Naperville Police Cmdr. Ray Adkins said three children were playing on top of ice covering a pond alongside Aviara Court near Saddlebrook Drive when two of them fell into the water. The third child did not fall through the ice and was not injured. One of the children was able to get out of the pond with assistance from a neighbor who saw the youngsters fall into the pond. Naperville police were called at 1 p.m., and fire department divers located the girl and removed her from the water at 1:25 p.m.

• Hunter Drowns In Northwest Missouri Lake: ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- An Overland Park, Kan., hunter has drowned in a Buchanan County lake.
