A world away, Gerard and Mikey were kidnapped by pirates, and would give anything to be able to escape. This story is absolutely stunning. Excellent world-building . I was hooked from the first or second page, seriously. There is nothing about the characters I don't love, for one. Bob is my very favorite, for every possible reason. I want him for my very own. The story is just very well done, though I should probably warn for gore. There is also implied rape, but there is NOTHING implied about the gore. Many, many people die horrible, torturous deaths, okay? All that said, I need to say that though the story wrapped up nicely, I felt I needed a little more, relationship-w ise. There was also a bit involving a wood fairy that was a little confusing. Bonus: The dragons, the sea serpent. BOB. HAVE I MENTIONED BOB?
